Web Designer

Lynchburg College seeks a web design professional to design visual/graphical improvements and develop pages and areas on the College’s public web site, while maintaining site-wide consistency in branding and style. This professional is expected to implement designs in CSS and XSL, using a text editor and the College’s content management system. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years of professional experience in web design and a demonstrated ability in graphic design for the web. Also required are in-depth knowledge of the following: standard semantic (X) HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Suite, web design best practices, usability and accessibility issues, basic knowledge of Macromedia Flash, XSL, server-side scripting, and JavaScript, as well as excellent English language oral and written skills for effective communication. Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
