Assistant Athletic Trainer/Instructor

The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance of Lynchburg College is accepting applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement, full-time (10 month) position of Assistant Athletic Trainer/Instructor for the 2011-2012 academic year. The successful candidate will serve as an assistant athletic trainer, ACI for the athletic training students and teach courses in the athletic training major as qualified. The Athletic Training Program is accredited by the CAATE.

Qualifications: Must be BOC Certified; must be Virginia state licensed (or eligible) as an athletic trainer; must have at least one year of experience as ATC; must have sincere interest and desire to teach athletic training students.  Preferred qualifications are a master’s degree, college athletic training experience, and certification as a First Aid/CPR Instructor.  Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and educational credentials.  Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
