Assistant Professor – Nursing

The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance of Lynchburg College is accepting applications for a full-time medical-surgical nursing position to begin with the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants should have a strong background in and be capable of teaching the following course content:  pharmacology, fundamentals, and medical-surgical nursing. The successful applicant will be willing to strive for teaching excellence, to experiment with new pedagogies, and to collaborate with colleagues from diverse disciplines in support of the institutions liberal arts mission.   

Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing is required; PhD or DNP is preferred.  Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and educational credentials.  Selected candidate must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the College.
